Michael Pachter, de bekendste analist uit de gamewereld, heeft vandaag gezegd dat hij niet gelooft in de kracht van Super Mario Galaxy 2 en Metroid: Other M om systemen te verkopen.

Volgens Pachter lopen de Wii verkopen al lange tijd steeds meer terug. Dit komt hoofdzakelijk doordat Nintendo geen prijsverlaging wil doorvoeren. Hiermee gaat hij dus in tegen de uitspraken van Nintendo zelf dat de verkopen terug zakten door het gebrek aan goede games. De analist ziet de twee aankomende games dan ook geen einde maken aan de neergang. Deze uitspraak baseert hij op het feit dat producten als Wii Fit ook steeds minder verkopen. Daarnaast heeft volgens de beste man de hardcore basis van Nintendo al lang een Wii in huis en gaat deze die nu niet meer kopen.

De beste man heeft natuurlijk wel een punt. Nintendo heeft de laatste tijd steeds meer moeite om de Wii te verkopen. In Amerika heeft de Wii alleen in december meer consoles verkocht, maar daarna zakten de verkopen weer in. Aan de andere kant is Pachter ook de man die in het verleden erg vaak niet helemaal goed zat met zijn voorspellingen, zoals hij zelf ook aangeeft.
