Hardcore gamers zouden hun neus ophalen voor de Motion controller van Nintendo. Dit beweert Peter Dille, Sony Marketing Manager tegen The Financial Times. Hardcore gamers zijn volgens hem erg negatief over de Wii Remote. De aankomende Playstation Move controller voor de Playstation 3 gaat hier volgens hem echter verandering in brengen. De Wii Remote zou volgens Dille ook niet nauwkeurig genoeg zijn om core gamers aan te spreken. Ook de te grote hoeveelheid casual games op de Wii zouden ervoor zorgen dat core gamers weinig interesse hebben in de Wii. Heeft Peter Dille gelijk of juist niet?
”We’ll have games that the whole family can play that are very social , but we’ll also be able to do hard-core gamer games via a motion device that has never been done before. It’s too early to say what the killer app or signature game is but we’ll continue through the spring and late summer before we make a decision on which game is the poster child or the best one to move the Move.”
